King HR Advisory is a family-run HR partner built on integrity, discretion and long-term relationships.

Founded by Jason and Becky, we provide fractional HR leadership and people services to organisations at different stages of growth, supporting clients across Sheffield and the UK.

We combine senior HR leadership experience with a personal, relationship-led approach. When you work with us, you engage directly with an experienced leaders who understands the realities of running organisations; balancing growth, governance and people in a way that is both practical and sustainable.

Meet our Founders

I'm Jason, Co-Founder and Director of King HR Advisory; and I've spent over a decade doing HR in the places where it really matters: complex, highly regulated businesses where the people decisions are never straightforward.

I partner with founders, CEOs and MDs to navigate growth, change and the people decisions that shape an organisation’s future—bringing practical, senior experience earned inside real HR functions, not from the outside looking in.

I've operated at Head of People level across the UK and EMEA, working alongside executives, boards and regulators in insurance, wellbeing, manufacturing and international corporate environments. My work spans the full people agenda — talent, leadership development, reward, organisational design, HR transformation and people risk — but what I'm really known for is being the person leaders turn to when things get difficult.

Whether that's a sensitive restructure, a tricky employee situation, a TUPE transfer or a cultural shift that needs careful handling, I bring calm, clarity and a genuinely commercial perspective. I don't just advise — I roll my sleeves up and help get it done.

My experience includes:

  • Scaling and maturing the People function to support growth from 200 to 400 colleagues

  • Establishing a centralised HR shared service

  • Building a full HR Business Partnering function

  • Leading restructures, TUPE, outsourcing and offshoring

  • Designing reward, recognition and talent strategies

  • Supporting integration following major acquisitions (UK Healthcare, High Five, Working Health)

  • Working in a 3,000+ employee unionised manufacturing environment

I care about doing work that means something. Outside the consultancy, I serve as a Board Trustee for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, and previously supported Age UK Sheffield. It's a reminder of why getting people and organisations to work well together actually matters.

I hold an MSc in Human Resource Management, a Level 7 CIPD qualification and am a CIPD member.

Why We Founded King HR Advisory

We started King HR Advisory because we kept meeting brilliant leaders carrying people complexity they shouldn’t have to carry alone; and frustrated by generic HR advice that wasn’t fit for their organisation.

Too often they were:

repeating the same story
given guidance by people who had never led HR inside a business

Leaders don’t need another policy writer.

Co-founder & Director

I'm Becky, Co-Founder and Director of King HR Advisory, and people and great service has always been at the heart of everything I do.

I grew up in Sheffield and built my career here, leading large, busy teams across the charity and hospitality sectors. From events and conferencing to fast-paced service environments, I know what it actually feels like to manage people under pressure — the competing priorities, the high expectations, the moments where organisation and calm make all the difference.

That frontline experience shapes everything about how I work. I understand that behind every client relationship there's a real person who wants to feel informed, supported and genuinely looked after — not passed around or left guessing. Making sure that never happens is something I take real pride in.

At King HR Advisory, I'm the person who makes sure everything runs smoothly — from that first conversation through to delivery. I bring structure, warmth and attention to detail to every interaction, so clients can focus on what they came to us for, knowing the rest is taken care of.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Business Management and I'm passionate about creating experiences — for clients, colleagues and partners — that feel as good as the outcomes we deliver together.
