Do you work across the whole of South Yorkshire? Yes. We support businesses and organisations across Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, and the wider South Yorkshire region. We also work with clients further afield across the UK where the work suits a remote or hybrid arrangement.

What size of organisation do you typically work with? Most of our clients are somewhere between 10 and 150 people, past the point where informal people management works, not yet at the scale where a full-time HR function makes sense. That said, we work with smaller organisations navigating significant complexity, and larger ones with a specific project need.

Is this the same as outsourced HR? Not quite. Outsourced HR typically means a provider handling transactional HR administration. What we offer is senior advisory support, strategic, experienced, and involved at the level where the real decisions get made. Think fractional Head of People rather than outsourced HR function.

How does the fractional model work? We agree a regular commitment, typically a set number of days per month, and embed into your organisation at senior level. You get continuity, context, and someone who genuinely knows your business. Without the full-time salary, employer NI, pension, and everything else that comes with a permanent hire.

We're not VAT registered — does that affect the cost? We're not VAT registered either. For charities, smaller organisations, and businesses not registered for VAT, that's a straightforward commercial advantage, the price you see is the price you pay.
